About
👋 Kumusta! (That's hello in Tagalog!)
TL:DR (in official third-person too)
Currently a Senior Developer Advocate for MongoDB, Adrienne Tacke is also a Filipina software engineer, speaker, published author of the book Coding for Kids: Python, and a LinkedIn Learning instructor who specializes in Cloud Development courses. Perhaps most important, however, is that she spends way too much money on desserts and ungodly amounts of time playing Cyberpunk 2077.
The whole lechon
I'm Adrienne Braganza Tacke, a proud Filipina and 90s kid.
Originally from California, I've also spent some time in Baguio City, Philippines. Eventually, I found myself back on the west side of America and settled in Las Vegas, Nevada for college. Defecting from the "natural" path of nursing, I found that technology fascinated me much more and chose to major in Management Information Systems. While working towards my degree at UNLV, I also worked as a student technician for UNLV's Office of Information Technology. This job paved the way for me to discover a software engineering internship that would serve as the start of her career. I also met my future husband while working this job!
After almost a decade as a software engineer, I've worked in various industries like higher education and healthcare as well as several Las Vegas startups. Now, I focus on writing, speaking, teaching, and sharing my love of software engineering to all!
